BK Riha is a dynamic vocal coach, music educator, and producer dedicated to helping singers build confidence, discover their unique sound, and develop sustainable vocal technique. Specializing in contemporary commercial styles including pop, R&B, rock, and soul, BK works with students of all ages and skill levels. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, focusing on everything from vocal fundamentals and advanced techniques like belting and mix coordination to audition preparation and refining stylistic expression. BK strives to create an encouraging, supportive environment where students feel challenged, inspired, and excited to grow.
 

BK holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Kent State University and  Bachelor of Arts in Voice Performance & Music Theory from Ashland University. BK has received formal training in Contemporary Commercial Music at Shenandoah University's Summer Institute. For eight years, they served as Instructor of Commercial Music at Tiffin University, teaching applied voice and comprehensive musicianship while mentoring students pursuing careers as artists and music entrepreneurs. BK directed pop/jazz vocal ensembles at TU, including Higher Ground a cappella, and contributed to curriculum development and recruiting.

BK maintains an active performance career as a solo vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, live looper and collaborative performer. Performance highlights include the Geneva Grape Jamboree, Vintage Wine Festival, Church of the Western Reserve, The Cabaret Project at BluJazz+ and Nighttown, and Singers Companye under the direction of Dr. Samuel Gordon. BK’s performance experience shapes how they teach
vocal storytelling, style, and musicianship.

 

In addition to teaching, BK is an internationally recognized arranger and producer. As the owner of BK Riha Publications & Production, they specialize in contemporary a cappella arranging and ensemble coaching. Their work spans the globe, with over 300 arrangements performed and recorded across 30 countries by scholastic, collegiate, and community groups. BK also directs ZERO TO SIXTY a cappella and is one half of the EDM duo Futronics.
