Jake earned both his Associate and Bachelor of Music degrees in Flute Performance, graduating cum laude from Kent State University under the mentorship of Diane Rechner. His years at Kent were marked by wide-ranging performance experiences, including participation in summer festivals, national conventions, and distinguished masterclasses. A highlight of his training was his time at the prestigious Kent Blossom Music Festival, where he had the rare opportunity to perform side by side with members of The Cleveland Orchestra. These formative experiences solidified his reputation as an emerging artist with both skill and versatility.

Beyond the stage, Jake is passionate about flute pedagogy and outreach. He serves as the Resident Flutist for Flute Specialists, one of the premier flute companies in the country, where he engages with the flute community on both educational and professional levels. He also maintains a vibrant private studio, where he works with flutists of all ages and abilities, fostering not only technical growth but also a lifelong love of music. His teaching philosophy emphasizes developing each student’s unique voice, artistry, and confidence as musicians.
